It has been a privilege to attend this important East African Humanitarian Summit. This humanitarian summit is very informative, with the panels which are very high in terms of knowledge and in terms of participants. This is my first time at EAHS and I have to tell everybody, it was brilliant. For those of you who haven’t attended before, I highly recommend it. The conference is fantastic, from the setup to the ability to have one-on-one (meetings) with the various humanitarian agencies, fantastic. It is truly one of the best conferences I’ve attended in the 30 years that I’ve been here in Africa.

Attending the summit and engaging with the diverse group of participants was truly a wonderful experience. It was impressive to see the large number of companies and vendors present – many expressed strong interests in collaborating with the United Nations system. This platform provided a valuable opportunity to build new partnerships, contributing to a win-win scenario by enhancing the effectiveness and outreach of procurement efforts.
The panellists were particularly well-chosen; their knowledge, experience, and active engagement offered meaningful insights and added great depth to the discussions. The sheer scale of participation and the energy throughout the event clearly reflected the success of the summit.
